chemicalpilate on "Private Conversations" by Peter:

Every single day that we do something, we are increasing production. Like measuring basal metabolic rate, not creating is far easier said than done.

This, however, is a spike in the FFT.

i bet elly still reads the site. put up something like "ELLY EATS BOOGERS", and see how long it takes her to issue a comment on it.

Paul G on "Eyes as tools etc." by arcy:
This felt like a piece written for swinney.org 5+ years ago. Tech-work. Kittens. Dreams. Yep.

Maybe if Elly still read the site she'd add this, and Austin's piece, to her "Dreams" series.

Paul G on "plants, me" by austin:
Slug Trap -- Having turned it top side down, a jelly jar lid was pressed into the soil till flush with the surrounding surface. Then it was filled with beer.

The beer drew the slugs to the trap. And drinking, they fell in and were drowned.

There's some metaphor or simile waiting to be suggested -- some reference to real versus apparent goods, or maybe an allusion to sex and death as engines or ends. But Austin's not a slug. OR IS HE?
